27 killed In Yobe, Kano Bombings || @I_amJara

Nigerians and especially residents of Potiskum and Kano are still reeling from the shock of Tuesday’s explosions which left at least 27 people dead. The first of the gruesome attacks happened in Potiskum town in Yobe State, where an attack by a suicide bomber at the Tashar Dan-Borno motor park killed 15 people and left 53 others critically injured.

While the nation was still grieving over the blast in Yobe State, northeast Nigeria, news of yet another bombing came in from Kano State in the northwest, where two male bombers, between the ages of 15 and 16 carried out the attack at the Kano line motor park, killing 12 passengers.

According to the Commissioner for Police in Kano, Ibrahim Idris, “investigations have been conducted on the site and what we noticed is that the blast involved three vehicles, two buses and a car.

“We estimated that 12 people have died from the blast and the information we gathered at the scene is that the two bombers came in one of the buses as passengers, in the process of trying to get down from the bus at a motor park, that was when they detonated the bomb”. He emphasised that investigations are still ongoing and would be revealed once finished.

The park is located just two kilometers away from the Kano State Government House.
