Boko Haram terrorists have
killed 21 people near Chibok in Borno State, a military source has said.
The terrorists
attacked villagers in Gatamarwa, Makalama and Layhawul while fleeing airstrikes
conducted by the Nigerian army.
The Boko Haram
members reportedly opened fire on villagers as they made their escape.
“They
surrounded the market and started shooting. There was pandemonium everywhere
and more than 10 people were killed,”Chibok resident and farmer Maina Chibok told Reuters.
Over 200 schoolgirls
were kidnapped from Chibok in April 2014 and most of them remain in captivity.
